When a split system makes sense

If you only need to heat and cool one or two rooms, or you're starting the switch away from gas one room at a time, a split system is often the simplest option. We also do multi-head systems, where one outdoor unit runs several indoor units.

Done neatly

The difference between a good and a bad split system install is mostly in the details: where the outdoor unit goes, how the pipes run, whether the drain is done properly, and whether the cover strip looks tidy against the house. We take care with all of it.

Getting it right first

We'll ask about the room size, the windows, and how you use the space, so the unit isn't too small to keep up on a 40-degree day or too big to run efficiently.

How long does a split system install take?

Most back-to-back installs are done in half a day. Longer pipe runs or double-storey installs take longer.

Can you install a unit I've already bought?

Usually, yes. Give us a call and tell us the model.

Do you remove the old unit?

Yes, we remove and recover the gas from old units properly. We hold an ARCtick refrigerant trading authorisation.
